A common sight in the UK. The House sparrow is an opportunist, gaining food, shelter and a variety of materials for nest building.
Description
Males are brown with black speckles, and white wing bars, Females are a duller brown with no white wing bars, 12 -15 cm long
Habitat
The House sparrow will build a nest in chimneys, walls, under eaves of houses, and small bushes and shrubs
